Two presidents died on July 4th
John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, both signers of the Declaration, died on the same day: July 4, 1826, exactly 50 years after independence. James Monroe also died on July 4, 1831.
Five presidents never went to college
Washington, Jackson, Van Buren, Taylor, and Lincoln never attended college. Lincoln was almost entirely self-educated, a log cabin to the White House.

Four presidents have been assassinated: Lincoln (1865), Garfield (1881), McKinley (1901), and Kennedy (1963). Multiple others survived attempts, including Reagan in 1981 and Ford (twice in 1975).
